FAQ - Add to FAQ
Q: How do I add a FAQ & answer to this list?
A: It's pretty easy. Just follow the steps below.
- First you need to register with the Wiki. You do that by trying to log in on the home page and following the instructions. Once you register, you can log in to edit.
- Next, go to the FAQ page and click Edit page at the bottom. You'll see that it contains a list of lines that look like the two shown below
~- [[Faq10BitDACs Is it possible to get 10-bit DAC resolution with PTB-3 under OS/X?]] ~- [[FaqAddFaq How do I add a FAQ & answer to this list?]]
- Add a line of the same general form. The first word after the [[ will be the name of the page that will hold the FAQ you add. It should begin with Faq and then contain more letters that roughly indicate its contents. The letter after the q" in Faq" should be uppercase. Then type the question you will answer, followed by ]].
- Hit the Store button at the bottom. This will return you to the FAQ page, and you'll be able to click on your question. This will take you to a blank page, all ready to edit.
- Start the page like this:
=== [[http://psychtoolbox.org/wikka.php?wakka=PsychtoolboxFaq FAQ]] - Summary of the Question === **Q:** Your question goes here. Match it to what you put on the main FAQ page. **A:** Your answer goes here. ...
- The first line creates a header with a back link to the main FAQ page. The rest is pretty easy to learn. Check out FormattingRules for a summary of how to format pages for the Wiki.
