Additions:
"claimed 10 bit resolution". In reality, less than 800 unique levels of brightness for each color, with significant deviations from a regular gamma curve for the brightest (~10%) of reds and blues. Even worse, it appears that color brightness is not independent (IE the spectral sum of each color measured in isolation is not equal to the spectral energy of white), by a very significant margin. Can be driven in 10 bit mode via regular analog VGA input. (Reported by AlanRobinson and DonMacLeod, of UCSD).
